Oriana Hawley is a musician, writer, and event organizer from New York City. Oriana has performed with musical groups including Baroklyn, the Westside Chamber Players, Protestra, Face The Music, composer Lisa Bielawa’s performance ensembles, and other contemporary/traditional ensembles. She attended the Columbia-Juilliard Exchange Program and Columbia University where she received a BA in Music. She has interned with places such as the Northampton Community Music Center, Face The Music, and special projects with conductor/composer Teddy Abrams, and is a teacher of violin, viola, essay writing, and chamber music performance. Oriana is also the founder and organizer of Blue Bird Concerts in NYC, and of COVID quarantine project Gold Graffiti Quarantine Magazine. Oriana believes strongly in and strives to practice multi-genre and cross-disciplinary improvisation and artistic experimentation in all ways possible.
